OUR CLIENT

BROTHERS IN ARMS MEMORIAL

SRISHTI FOUNDATION

Photo from World War I

BACKGROUND

The Brother in Arms Memorial by the Srishti Foundation honors the bravery and collaboration between Indian and Canadian soldiers who fought together during World War I, especially on Europe's Western Front. The memorial's mission is to bring forward the often forgotten history of these soldiers, highlighting their shared battle experiences.

The project is significant as it reflects on the deep historical connection between Indian and Canadian troops, including how Indian soldiers helped prevent German advances in the early part of the war, allowing Canadian forces to arrive later. This memorial aims in honoring the sacrifice and camaraderie of soldiers and symbolizing the lasting friendship between India and Canada.

PROJECT GOALS

01
Raise awareness and donations for the construction and installation of a stone memorial depicting scenes from joint battles fought by Indian and Canadian soldiers.
02
Ensure the sacrifices of these soldiers are remembered and honoured.
03
Inspire future generations with the values of humanity and freedom through the commemoration of this shared history.
